The Forgotten Side Effect of Menopause: Vaginal Dryness

Every morning by 8:30 a.m. (EST) I open my computer and scan the internet for my daily dose of the latest Menopause News.  I love reading the articles, seeing the videos and hearing the shared stories.  I have been one of the lucky ones to have several of my articles, as well as some of my guest bloggers published amongst them.

Menopause Side EffectsToday as I logged on, the first headline I  read was “Seven natural remedies to combat and alleviate the unpleasant side effects of Menopause”, by HuffPost UK Lifestyles.  To my surprise they listed hot flashes, mood swings, insomnia, and weight gain as the most common symptoms of menopause.

What’s wrong with this picture?!! Nowhere does it include vaginal dryness as a side effect.  Ironically I was interviewed a while ago, by Huffington Post, about this very topic and how 1 out of 3 women are impacted by the debilitating condition of vaginal dryness. But it still doesn’t make “the list” .

side effectsThe seven remedies mentioned in this article include:

Exercise
Flaxseed
Natural Progesterone
Omega-3 Fatty Acid
Vitamin E
Acupuncture
Cutting Down on Alcohol

I would not have included hormone treatment in that list, natural or not. Most of the women I speak with, and I talk with many on a daily basis; prefer not to incorporate any type of hormones in their routine.  Many are cancer survivors, under chemo therapy, breastfeeding and are terrified of any type of hormones.

Vaginal dryness is a direct result of menopause; but, there are so many other conditions that can cause the same symptoms; autoimmune disorder, child birth, breast feeding, hysterectomy, cancer, and chemo therapy can also cause vaginal dryness.

For many of us, even after menopause, the discomfort of hot flashes still continue.  I have far passed my menopausal time clock and I still suffer every day with hot flashes.  I exercise, I take supplements, I have had acupuncture, I keep hydrated by drinking a lot of water and I keep hoping that those awful hot flashes will subside; and maybe they will one day.  What I do know is that I no longer suffer from vaginal dryness because I use Vaginal Renewal Complex in my weekly routine and at least one of those symptoms has now been corrected.

Natural remediesBy directly inserting vitamins, such as; Vit. E, Vit. D3 and Vit. C as well as Shea oil (non-saponifiable fatty acid) and evening primrose oil, you are nourishing your vagina. It coats the walls of the vaginal cavity to help restore that moisture that dries up when there is no estrogen to keep it supple.

I spoke with a woman today, who has been on our program for 3 months.  She said that nothing has worked for her in the past but now she is feeling so much better.  She uses it every day and has joined our auto ship program.  When I get calls such as this one, it truly makes me smile.

She thanked me for creating Vaginal Renewal Complex and bringing it to the public. I thanked her because I know that another user is getting relief.

MY LITTLE SECRET:  The next time someone writes or mentions how to feel better during or after menopause, remember those two very important words:  VAGINAL DRYNESS and I will tell you how to combat and alleviate the unpleasant side effects of Menopause.
